Editor Embedded Server

It is possible open a Server and an associated Client in the context of the Editor to test a Definition File opened in the editor, or any other Definition File. The configuration properties of the associated Server and Client will be those specified in the Editor settings.

Mode of operation

You must:

• Start a Server on a Definition File opened in the Editor, or Start a Server on any Definition File on the disk
• Start a Client on the same Definition File
• Connect the Client and the Server

Start a Server

On a Definition File opened in the Editor

Right-click on the Definition File tab, and select "Open in Server". A new window will open on the currently selected Definition File.

On any Definition File on the disk

Select Runtime => Create Server, and select the Definiiton File you want to use. A new window will open with on the currently selected Definition File.

Start the associated Client

Select Runtime => Open Client. A Client Window will open on the same Definition File as the one selected for the Server. The Client window has the following configuration:

Connect the Client and the Server

• Click on "Load" on the Client Window
• Click on "Connect" on the Client Window
• The Client and Server are connected
